Feldar's features, from the first scene plan to the last revision

Feldar is a writing app for novelists. This page lists what it does today, in roughly the order a book needs it: planning, keeping track of the world, writing, revising, getting a first read and keeping a record of how the book was made. Every AI feature waits for your OK.

On this page: Scenes · Canvas · Writing tools · Voice & Style · Checks · Lens · Chat · Models · Library · Writing record · Platforms

Plan the book and keep its world

Scenes and Draft Page

Every page has an Outline: a list of scenes, each with a title and a short description. Write the scenes yourself, or describe the next story beats, choose a scene count and press Generate scenes. Add a scene where you need one, rewrite one, delete what doesn't fit.

Draft Page writes a first pass of the page from its scenes, at a word target you set, for one page or up to ten at a time. Or write the chapter yourself with the scenes beside you.

The Canvas

A board for your story bible. Add Character, Location, Plot, Item, Faction and Note cards, drag them where they make sense, and link them: Related to, Part of, Causes, Opposes.

Branch from a card to create a related one, such as the next plot beat or a rival faction. Develop deepens a card or checks it against the rest of the board. When Feldar writes, it draws on these cards, so suggestions use the names and history you have already set down.

Write and revise

Continue from here, and tools for a selection

Hover over the caret for a menu that fits where you are: Continue from here or Add scene detail at the end of a paragraph, Finish sentence mid-line, Add subtext or Add action beat in dialogue. The new lines arrive in blue. Accept, Revise (Shorter, Longer, More interiority and more) or Dismiss.

Select a passage to Ask about it, Instruct it in plain words, or Define it with Polish, Deepen or Enhance. Rewrites come back in a card with the changes marked, and you Apply them or keep your own.

Voice & Style

Paste at least 600 words of your own prose into Settings, under Voice & Style, and Feldar's suggestions follow your rhythm and diction instead of a generic one. Use one sample for every project or a different one per book. As a project grows, Feldar draws on the project's own prose.

Checks

Five editorial passes over the page: Fix critical mistakes, Improve accuracy and clarity, Tighten word choice, Smooth dialogue transitions and Clarify character perspectives. Each issue is marked in the text with a suggested fix that you accept, retry or discard.

Run one on a finished chapter, before you send it to a reader. Opening Checks never changes your prose.

Lens

Six readers for your page: Critic, Cheerleader, Poet, Editor, Plotter and Reader. Ask one with an @mention, or have them respond in Debate, Synthesize, or Debate & Synthesize.

Reader reactions takes an audience you choose, from fantasy readers to literary magazine editors, writes a short reader report and marks the moments that drew a response in your margin.

Chat

A conversation beside the page, with your project as context. Brainstorm the next scene, find the weak spots on a page, or ask what a character would do. Attach images, PDFs, Word and text files to talk about your research. Copy a reply, or have it read aloud.

Ask Chat to add or change a Canvas card and it shows you the proposed card first. Save it or dismiss it.

Model choice

Choose from GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna and Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5, per feature in Settings or per chat in the model picker.

Starter uses GPT-6 Luna. Core has every model except GPT-6 Astra. Pro and Ultra have all six.

Keep your books, and their history

Library, import and export

Every project gets a cover in your Library. Pin the book you are finishing, duplicate one to try another ending, sort the rest into folders. To look around first, open the example project from the profile menu.

Import a manuscript as Word (.docx), PDF, Markdown or plain text, up to 20 MB a file. Export the whole book or selected pages in the same four formats. From Scrivener or Google Docs, save as Word first.

Writing record

A private record, kept as you write, of which words you typed by hand and which came through Feldar's tools, with your active days, active time and the models used. Find it in the editor's Options menu.

If a publisher, contest or workshop asks how you used AI, you can answer from the record instead of from memory. It cannot see text written elsewhere and typed in by hand.
