### Refund & Cancellation Policy

Feldar LLC ("Feldar", "we", "us" or "our") provides an advanced artificial intelligence ("AI") writing platform - Feldar. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding refunds and subscription cancellations for the Feldar platform (the "Service").

This policy is part of and incorporated into our [Terms of Service](https://feldar.com/terms).

#### Overview

We want you to be satisfied with Feldar. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while preventing abuse:

- New subscribers: 14-day money-back guarantee
- After 14 days: No refunds for subscription fees
- Cancellation: Access continues until end of billing period
- Credits: Non-refundable

#### 14-day money-back guarantee

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase.

##### Eligibility

The 14-day money-back guarantee applies if:

- You are a first-time subscriber to a paid plan
- You request the refund within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase
- You have not previously received a refund from Feldar

##### What you receive

If eligible, you will receive:

- A full refund of your subscription payment
- Refund processed to your original payment method
- Processing time of 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)

##### After the refund

Once your refund is processed:

- Your subscription is canceled immediately
- Access to paid features ends
- Your account reverts to the free tier
- Your content and projects remain accessible on the free tier

#### After the refund period

After the 14-day window:

- No refunds are issued for subscription fees
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- No prorated refunds are provided for unused time
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your billing period

#### How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time using one of these methods:

##### Email support

Email support@feldar.com with:

- Subject: "Cancel Subscription"
- The email address associated with your account
- Confirmation that you wish to cancel

We will process your cancellation and send confirmation within 1 business day.

##### Stripe Customer Portal

When available, you can cancel directly through the Stripe billing portal:

1. Access your account settings 2. Click "Manage Subscription" or "Billing" 3. Follow the prompts to cancel

##### Timing

- Cancel at any time during your billing period
- We recommend canceling at least 24 hours before your renewal date to ensure processing
- Set a reminder if you want to cancel before an upcoming renewal

#### What happens when you cancel

##### Immediate effects

- Your cancellation is confirmed via email
- Your subscription is set to not renew
- No further charges will be made to your payment method

##### Until your billing period ends

- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
- You retain full access to all paid features
- Your Credits remain available until the period ends

##### After your billing period ends

- Your account reverts to the free tier
- Paid features become unavailable
- Your projects and content are not deleted
- You can continue using the Service with free tier limitations
- Unused Credits expire

##### Resubscribing

You can resubscribe at any time:

- Your previous projects and content remain available
- Choose any available subscription plan
- A new billing cycle begins upon resubscribing

#### Credits

##### Subscription Credits

Credits included with your subscription:

- Are non-refundable
- Reset at the beginning of each billing period
- Do not roll over to the next billing period
- Expire at the end of each billing cycle
- Cannot be transferred to another account

##### Free Credits

The 300 free Credits provided to new accounts:

- Are non-refundable
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Do not expire while your account remains active

##### Credit refund exceptions

We may refund Credits (as service credit or monetary refund) in cases of:

- Verified bugs that consumed Credits without providing the service
- Platform malfunctions that incorrectly charged Credits
- Technical errors resulting in duplicate Credit deductions

To request a Credit refund exception, contact support@feldar.com with details of the issue, including dates and specifics of the malfunction.

#### Renewal refunds

For subscription renewals (after your initial subscription period):

##### Within 48 hours of renewal

If you were charged for an unwanted renewal:

- Contact us within 48 hours of the charge
- We will evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis
- Refunds for renewals are not guaranteed but may be granted

##### Preventing unwanted renewals

To avoid unwanted renewal charges:

- Cancel your subscription before your renewal date
- Set a calendar reminder before your billing cycle ends
- Review your subscription status in account settings

##### After 48 hours

Renewal refund requests made more than 48 hours after the charge are generally not granted. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period.

#### Refund exceptions

We may issue refunds outside the standard policy in the following circumstances:

##### Technical issues

- Verified bugs or platform malfunctions that prevented you from using the Service
- Extended outages that significantly impacted your paid subscription period
- Technical errors that resulted in incorrect charges

##### Billing errors

- Incorrect charge amounts
- Duplicate payments
- Unauthorized charges (after investigation)

##### Extraordinary circumstances

We evaluate requests for extraordinary circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Contact us with details of your situation.

##### What does not qualify for exceptions

- Dissatisfaction with AI output quality (AI outputs are provided "as is")
- Changing your mind after the 14-day period
- Forgetting to cancel before renewal
- Not using the Service during your subscription period
- Account termination for policy violations

#### How to request a refund

##### Standard refund request

Email support@feldar.com with:

- Subject: "Refund Request"
- The email address associated with your account
- Date of purchase or charge
- Reason for the refund request (optional but helpful)
- Any relevant transaction IDs or receipts

##### Required information

For faster processing, please include:

- Account email address
- Transaction date
- Subscription plan purchased
- Brief description of the issue (if applicable)

##### Response time

- We acknowledge receipt within 24-48 hours
- We aim to process refund decisions within 2 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

#### Refund processing

Refunds are processed to your original payment method:

- Credit/debit cards: Refund appears as a credit on your statement within 5-10 business days
- Other payment methods: Processing time varies by method

##### Currency

- Refunds are processed in the original currency of purchase
- Exchange rate fluctuations may affect the amount received in your local currency

##### Taxes

- Refunds include any taxes originally charged
- Tax refund timing may vary based on your jurisdiction

##### Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund is processed. If you don't see the refund within 10 business days, please contact us.

#### Chargebacks

##### Contact us first

We strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank:

- We can often resolve issues faster than the chargeback process
- Chargebacks are time-consuming for both parties
- Many issues can be resolved directly through support

##### Chargeback consequences

If you initiate a chargeback (dispute) through your bank or credit card company:

- Your account may be suspended immediately pending resolution
- We reserve the right to dispute the chargeback with evidence of service delivery
- If the chargeback is upheld, your account will be terminated
- Future account creation may be restricted

##### Fraudulent chargebacks

Filing a fraudulent chargeback (disputing a legitimate charge while retaining service benefits):

- Violates our Terms of Service
- Will result in permanent account termination
- May be reported to relevant authorities
- May result in collection actions for amounts owed

#### Account termination

##### Voluntary account closure

If you close your account voluntarily:

- The standard refund policy applies (14-day window for new subscriptions)
- No refund is provided for unused subscription time after the 14-day period
- Contact support if you want to request a refund before closing your account

##### Termination for policy violations

If we terminate your account for violations of our [Terms of Service](https://feldar.com/terms), [Usage Policy](https://feldar.com/usage-policy), or [Content Policy](https://feldar.com/content-policy):

- No refund is provided
- Unused Credits are forfeited
- You are not entitled to any compensation

##### Service discontinuation

If we discontinue the Service entirely:

- We will provide reasonable advance notice
- Prorated refunds may be provided at our discretion
- We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your content

#### Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top
- For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service
- Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance

Changes to refund terms will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the change.
